HOME 4 THE HOLIDAYS (Cumming Together Again)
***********************
Duke called and said, "Doll, I've got good news, you'll be home for the holidays."
Home for them was an old log cabin 20 miles from Burlington, Vermont nestled among pine trees in the Champlain Valley.
****************
At Thanksgiving, Duke found Dolly up and around, able to sit with him in the Walter Reed's dinning room. She was in good spirits and eager to leave.
It had been over a year, since she was caught in cross fire and had to be flown from the Middle East to Washington and admitted to Walter Reed Hospital.
After an emergency operation, sepsis set in, and complex problems developed. For 3 months she was in an intensive care unit and could not breathe on her own. That she survived was considered a miracle. That there remained little evidence of all she went through--was another one.
Now with the news she'd soon be able to leave the hospital, they were overjoyed--sat looking at old photos and re-living the night they'd met in Boston--fondly recalling how Duke had walked in the Tremont's Piano Bar and found her singing, "Moonlight In Vermont." (1)
******************
She'd been a senior at the academy, when he was a junior. Just the day before, he'd read in the West Point Gazette that Dolly would be in Boston area to speak at Concord Academy--coincidentally, so was Duke--but it never occurred to him they'd meet like this.
He'd always had a crush on her but because they ran in different circles and only saw each other from a distance, they'd never actually met, let alone go out on a date. When she graduated, he'd given up hope.
******************
Now standing in the doorway mesmerized by her singing, he was astounded at how irresistible she looked out of uniform. She was lovely anyway, but in the low cut black mini dress, she was irresistible. He was determined not to let her get away without making an honest effort to try and get to know her.
Within minutes they discovered their mutual interests after he broke the ice by asking how she liked being a West Point Commissioned Officer in the United States Army and serve overseas.
From that point on, the rest was history. It all worked out perfectly. That very night, they ended up staying in her room at the Parker House in downtown Boston, made hot lusty love and were inseparable from then on spending every available moment together.
****************
Six months later in 1998, they were married at the Austrian-inspired Trapp Family Lodge on Stowe Mountain near Burlingon, Vermont. (2)
The wedding was beautiful and went far beyond what Dolly and Duke ever imagined was possible.
Duke's mentor Gil, served as Best Man, and Martha, Gil's wife, as Dolly's Matron of Honor. At the reception they handed the newly weds the best gift of their life--a brass key to their log cabin--papers that bestowed half ownership--with full ownership eventually conveying to Doll and Duke should they not survive them.
At Duke's request, the band intermittently played, "Moonlight In Vermont," throughout the reception. Since the night he'd first heard Doll sing it, it had become his favorite song--their love song.
******************
Now with the 2010 holiday season fast approaching they decided it'd be best to stay close to Walter Reed in case Dolly had a relapse.
But even if that hadn't been a factor, they wanted to be home for the holiday. That meant making the long trek up to their beloved cabin where they dreamed of living after they retired from the military.
****************
Picking her up at Walter Reed they arrived at their cabin after a long drive in the middle of a near blizzard, on the 18th of December 2010.
Building a fire, they settled in for the night and cuddled under a pile of quilts made by Dolly's great-grandmother from grandpa's old woolen suits.
Loving every minute of being able to at last rest in the comfort of each other's arm's they soon drifted off promising each other they'd make love in the morning when they felt fresh and rested.
Morning came and they laughed under the covers and talked about getting up and out to the hot tub outside but the reality was that when they did, they found a frozen pump.
Wrapping heat tape on it they decided their dream of soaking in the hot tub would have to wait a few days. Going back inside, they made up a pot of coffee, fresh orange juice and in the iron skillet, bacon, eggs and potatoes.
Afterwards they figured they'd better burn off the calories, so they hiked to the back forty behind the cabin to find the perfect tree in a stand of pines. After they found it, they hauled it back to the barn on Flexible-Flyer Sled.
Back in the toolshed on the far end of the barn, Duke made a big production out of whittling the end of the tree in to a point and jamming it down into the old iron stand his grandpa had forged long ago.
Watching Duke work so intensely on the task at hand, Dolly couldn't resist teasing, "Do you think you got it jammed in there just right this time?"
"Doll, Grandma and Grandpa used to get in a big fight every year over whether the tree, was straight or not. The year it fell on one of the kids, he'd had it. Fed up, he made a big one out of a wagon wheel and strap iron that'd never let our tree tip over again."
"Duke, have I told you lately how I love to hear you tell your stories, how I never get tired of hearing you tell them?"
"No sweetie, but thank you. Now tell me one of yours--make up a good story that will turn me on."
Laughing and patting his butt she said, "Oh, I've got one later, a juicy fantasy you can help me act out."
**************
That night they set out a bottle of Pinot Grigio to cool, made brown rice and grilled Sweet n' Sour Surf and Turf Kabobs on their snow covered deck over looking the Green Mountains.
After dinner they cleared the dishes away and sat at the kitchen table talking about days gone by--stringing popcorn and cranberries--cutting out hearts from red and white colored construction paper and gluing on paper lace.
"I'm glad my guys can't see me doing this, I'd never hear the end of it," Duke complained with a smirk on his face.
*************
Taking fine felt Sharpies and Calligraphy felt pens, they took turns writing love messages to each other. (4)
The first one Duke handed to Doll. It read:
"Doll, I'm so happy you are out of the hospital and here with me. It is the best gift I could possibly get."
Handing over one of the hearts she'd made for him, she kissed him full on the lips and read it to him aloud:
"Duke, being with you now, is the best, a gift beyond words. I can imagine nothing I would ever want more."
They continued making the tree ornaments--numbered and dated them--red and white paper hearts with sweet words of love to each other. When they were done they had made a total of 12 ornaments, representing all holiday's past they'd spent together.
They stood admiring their tree and hung the two hearts upon the softly lit branches along with a few other trinkets.
"Hey Doll," Duke said, "Let's hang the other 10 tomorrow, and go cuddle in bed."
"Okay, but let's put them in a basket and take them to bed with us so I can have you read a few more to me."
"Such a deal sweetheart, how could I refuse?"
Gathering up the rest of the paper hearts, they got in bed and put the basket under the covers with them.
"Duke, I say this every year, but this truly is the most beautiful Christmas tree we've ever had."
"Doll, it IS the most beautiful, without a doubt."
With the basket between them, they took turns reading the ornaments while taking a swig now and then from what was left of their bottle of wine that now sat a top the wide half log above their heads. (4)
They didn't get many read between all the fooling around and getting tangled up, swaddled in the warm flannel sheets.
Nope, there was no need for silk sheets and fancy bedclothes--tonight was about feeding raw animal hunger, breaking a year long fast, that damnable starvation diet they had been forced to accept.
*****************
Far in the back ground they heard wind beating against a loose cabin shutter--a steady pounding that mimicked the rhythm of their bodies softly banging against each other--bodies faking in ernest--longing for penetration, but afraid, fearing if they progressed too fast, they'd crash and burn.
They so wanted tonight to be right, to be fulfilling. Perfect.
**************
Duke moved his hands through her hair and down her back and with his tongue touching and teasing, he took the hard bulge of his erection in his own hand and searched for her slit.
Hands sliding down her butt, he began to grind his hard rod into her. "One time might not be enough," he moaned, "At this rate, I'm not gonna last long."
Aching with need she thrust upward into him, her breast brushing against his hairy chest as she growled and said, "It's okay, precious baby. Twice works fine for me."
Shaking his head, he wrapped her left leg around her midriff, "Not on this shift, baby I'm gonna fuck you all night long."
Kissing his neck and letting her hands slide up and down his chest, she pinched his nipples and met him thrust for thrust, murmuring, "Promises . . . promises . . . gonna hold you to them baby. "
Grabbing her wrists, he pinned her hands behind her back, and pulled her again to his chest, "Damn, woman, slow down or I'm gonna beat you to the finish line."
On her back staring up into his face, she moaned, "I can't baby, I can't," and closed her eyes and squeezed her muscles around the circumference of his thickness.
With one foot planted on the floor he now thrust with even greater leverage no longer trying to hold back either.
Breathing hard he told her, "Here's the part where all you have to do is lay there for me, let me ravage you."
With that he pulled out almost completely, only to thrust back in over and over again with such vigor the pleasure she felt was almost unbearable in its intensity.
"Am I doing this right?" he growled and moaned.
A deep groan tore through her chest as she echoed his pleasure and he altered his angle asking, "Or would you like me to do it like this," he said changing again.
Wrapping one leg tightly around his back she moaned, "I want more, more," as she synchronized with his perfectly paced rhythm.
"Oh baby, that feels so good, but what if I pass out from all of this?"
"Don't worry, I'll bless you with holy water when its all over and bring you to."
Caught up in hot pleasure she never wanted to end, she lost all concept of time until his voice harsh and ravaged said, "Baby, are you getting close?"
Before she could answer, she heard herself cry out as an exquisite climax crashed over her, flushing her body with tingling heat.
Her heart throbbing, her inner muscles clenched, she drew him deeper, kept draining him, until she heard a tirade of curses and primeval sounds bursting forth that finally released her hold on his cock burried deep within her.
Then with one last thrust, he slid his arms beneath her shoulders and crushed her tight against the length of his body moaning and collapsing.
Partially recovered a few minutes later he murmured in her ear, "Oh baby, I forgot how good it was with you, you climaxing and grabbing my cock like that and all . . . I swear to God, baby, I don't think I've ever cum that hard."
"Oh, my sweet handsome hero, my lover, life after near death, feels great, but hot sex with you after a year of abstinence is a close runner-up, heaven on earth."

The End.

(3) Gil had taken Duke under his wing as a poor little kid from the wrong side of the track as part of the Big Brother Program. He and Martha grew to believe in Duke and strongly influenced his life for the better. They helped him to become an Eagle Scout, taught him how to study, learn right from wrong, and after graduation from high school with a 3.8 average, and a higher than normal S.A.T. they helped him gain admittance into West Point. Gil and Martha loved Duke like the son they never had, and later Dolly as a daughter. Duke and Dolly felt likewise and knew how fortunate they were--vowed to follow their example and help an unfortunate child themselves someday much the same as Duke was helped.
(4) The twelve love messages written upon the red and white lacy paper hearts:
1. "Doll, I'm so happy you are out of the hospital and here with me. It is the best gift I could possibly get."
2. "Duke, being with you now, is the best, a gift beyond words. I can imagine nothing I would ever want more."
3. "Duke, you make me feel so loved"
4. "Doll, you're the best in every way."
