Love perhaps
Where romance reigns one gets on bended knee
an atmosphere's required when making love
monogamy the usual social way
it lasts for life, or that the hovering hope.
In contrast there are others they do jump
their mind, their body too, it's head and bed
variety and where eyes wander to
love's transient, while lust it always lurks.
But is it simple, clean like that; this: that
as people try both ways and vascillate
and what is the resulting consequence
broken families, loneliness, sad ends.
Relationships a challenge hard to face
life's short, we take out chances while we can.
