LUTE DELIGHT
Now with my lute I play, many a tune
not often does discord it raise its head
so it and I , we tend to wander round
but doing so what times we have enjoyed.
You've been with me since I was a mere boy
how you've developed, now can play more tunes
to hold you, play with skill takes time that's sure
not quickly learnt, one has to hold you right
and move the fingers, hands, no clumsiness
but read the situation mix the touch
sometimes a gentle one or nail-graze run
or other times one fondles firm , nay strong
don't rush, relax, a lingering time enjoy
but quick sometimes oh what elation then
so sent those present to great heights of joy
oh lute you give such bliss indeed, indeed.
