Summer was coming to an end, things were winding down. She had spent her summer tanning, day tripping and writing fantasies on V9. But now it was time to get back to reality.
She thought of all the places she had been in her fantasies, none was more exciting than "The Little Red Car" which had been her frist endeavor. She thought about her favorite fantasies like "THe Last Dance" or "Hearts Desire." She thought of all the people she had met through V9, some had become very special to her and some had become extremely good friends.
She thought of her health issues which had become a part of her daily life and she thought of how it had changed her.Fifteen years of living with Parkinson's had taken its toll. She had survived two brain surgeries, an experimental proceedure which had turned out very well. She continued to do amazingly well but she could feel the changes, a subtle as they were.
There was a quote that she had found over the summer that she really liked; "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful." She knew life would never be perfect, but she still woke with a smile and met the challeges of the day with enthusiasm.
She thought of a special person on V9 who told her she was hot and sexy and she liked the way it made her feel. She knew she might not live up to it but it made her feel really good. She thought of all the friends she had made and truely considered them as genuine friends.
She thought of her husband of 35 years and wondered if she had violated their marriage by her actions on velvet. She was sure she had not. She was glad that she still believed in the sanctity of marriage and was proud of the fact that they still had a good relatinship after all these years. Like the quote said "life doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful."
She thought of all these things as the summer wound down. She thought about whether she should stop fantasizing and get off V9. But she knew that she was hooked....................addicted. V9 was a place that she could be her old self, a place that she could forget about the imperfections of life and just enjoy the beauty of it, fantasy or reality.
