On Jan 30th, I was in a apartment fire. The smoke detector did not operate and by the time I was aware of the fire and tried to get to the kitchen and fire extinguisher I was overcome by smoke and passed out in the floor. Fortunately, a neighbor smelled the smoke and contacted the fire department. The roads were horrible with snow and ice and it turns out that the first responders vehicla slid off the road! The 2nd responder got there a few minutes later and picked my body up and rushed me to the nearest hospital. I was actually lying in the floor and breathing that toxic smoke for about 15-20 mins. Thank God because I don't remember any of this!
I was in the CCU for about 2 and 1/2 weeks, being treated for smoke inhalation, severe burns on my head and back, possible brain injury due to lack of oxygen, an an inability to stand. I can't remember much of this either but I do thank those who helped me through this traumatic experience since I was only given a 50% chance of surviving it! I telling this story as it was told to me by family.
After finally moving from the CCU to another room, I finally started to improve and because of all the medications I didn't where I was at, what year it was, who the president was, or even the day of the week. And I was asked day those questions. They took good care of me there except one incident did happen. The nurse had helped out of the bed and into a chair so they could change the linens. I suddenly fell out of the chair onto the floor and every tube they had put in my body came out!So then I had to have every thing re-inserted including the cath. OUCH, that hurt! One nurse named Amanda was expecially nice to me there. One incident occurred with her when she came into shave me. We would aggravate each other, in fun, and she told me that if I wasn't good then she would just shave me all over. So I layed there why she gingerly shaved me but not all over! Thank you Amanda for everything!
A few days later I was transferred to another hospital to go through therapy for all my injuries. The staff was good to me and helped me. One nurse, Mary, would come into the room to see if I needed anything and sit and talk for hours (it seemed). She would bring me almost anything I asked for immediately. They were really strict on what I could eat and drink, so I didn't get everything I wanted. They fed me through a feeding tube most of the time up until about 1 week before I was released from the hospital. Those of you who think hospital food is awful, think about going several weeks without solid food at all!
Anyway, Mary also would take me to the shower and help me undress and sit on a board in the shower. She would help me take the shower and take the washcloth and sponge me in places that I couldn't reach very gently and lovingly. One time as she was cleaning my back we got to talking about relationships and I told her that it had been awhile since I had been with a woman. I couldn' help but notice that I had an erection and I could see in her face that she noticed it too. Being a lady. she took the cloth with warm water and soap down to my dick and wrapped it in her hands and stroked it until I came. This became a daily procedure with her and me. We never had intercourse because she didn't want to get caught and fired but I certainly was game! When I was released from the hospital to go home, Mary took me out, in a wheelchair, to the car and as I stood up to get into the car she reached over and wrapped her arms around me and gave me a big hug and a kiss on the check. Mary, you are one of the most compassionate people I have ever met!
Thanks for everything
