I was a security guard at a nuclear materials facility near to my home. Security was tight at that place well before the 9/11 incident!
Even more tight now.
I worked a different places but the most strict were the drive-in gates. We had to check every vehicle that entered and exited for anything suspicious. They were also the most fun to work because of meeting people.
