Throughout most of the history of this world man has dominated women. In the beginning women were not just dominated but abused. It was a world where only the strong survive, and man was clearly stronger. Woman got pregnant, which made them weaker, and many got morning sickness, which made them weaker still. Man provided food and protection, but treated women like slaves. This relationship continued for millennia and still exists today in Muslim culture. Woman had to suffer in silence or pay a price. Women weren't stupid; they learned that giving voice to their suffering would only lead to more suffering. And so it became ingrained that when women suffer from pain or illness they do not broadcast it, and many men do not even notice. Generally speaking, when men suffer, they want their women to know they are suffering. Any woman will confirm that statement. Living this way for thousands of years has been hard on women, but has also had the benefit of giving them an inner strength that sets the average woman apart from the average man. There are exceptions of course, but generally speaking I believe this to be true.
In many parts of this world it makes no difference, because women are still treated as slaves. However, in the civilized world women have rights. If a man abuses a woman he will be hunted down and incarcerated. Civilized laws have taken away man's ability to dominate through physical strength. Now man and woman compete on a relative equal footing. Physical strength is no longer an asset; we have only our intelligence, and our inner strength. Now anyone who has been paying attention can figure out where I'm going with this. In the civilized world woman have been reaching higher and higher levels, on the corporate ladder, in government, and even in the military. True, there are still some barriers to overcome, but if our world does not sink into chaos, as some are hoping it will, the barriers will continue to crumble and women will continue to achieve more, attain more, and govern more.
If the world continues to become more civilized, and that's very questionable these days, it is my belief that within 100 years there will be more women ruling this world then men.
I know there will be much disagreement from the men on this, oh, call it an essay, and it will likely get a lot of low scores, but those will be from emotional responses, not from an intellectual evaluation of the evidence.
I have purposely omitted discussing such things as the affect womans sexuality has on men. My view on this runs broader and further into the future but writing any more at this point will confuse the issue.
