Joe sat at his desk, looking into his monitor but not concentrating at all. He thought about Trish and how her presentation was going. It was a little after one PM and he thought he would've heard from her by now, considering she had a nine AM meeting time. He wasn't sure if a long meeting meant that it was going well or that it wasn't going well, and they were punting. Joe looked up and seen that one of his guys, Tom, was standing by the open door to his office. "Boss, want some lunch? I'm running down to the Deli." "Good idea Tommy Boy!" Joe gave him his order and tried, again, to concentrate on the numbers that he had up on the screen. It was useless, his mind kept drifting back to yesterday. How could fate work like that? He started out by doing a favor for an old friend and ended up with one of the top ten days of his life. Last night and this morning had him thinking that he was falling hard for this smart, beautiful, funny, southern belle. And that if his vibe was right, she wasn't exactly finding him to be a troll either. He leaned back in his chair and looked out of the window and watched the jets make their approach to Kennedy airport. Tom came back from his lunch run and left the bag on Joe's desk. He also placed a UPS envelope next to the lunch order. Joe picked it up and looked at the return address and saw it from Vince. He opened it up and found four tickets to tonight's Yankee game a note from Vince.
"Hey Bud, Thanks for helping me out yesterday. Trish told me you went above and beyond. I need to ask you one more favor. Would you take my team up to the game? I have a limo going to the hotel to get them so you'd have to meet them there. Thanks a bunch Dude. Vince"
"Go to a Yankee game by limo? Christ on a pony, go ahead and twist my arm won't you!" he smiled to himself. He looked up on the walls in his office. They were covered with Yankee memorabilia. And there were still huge tubs of stuff in storage. He used to have a den, before his divorce, and now he had nowhere to hang most of his collection. So he picked out his favorites and brought them into work and hung it around his office. He again did the math in his head and figured he'd have to leave work around 3:30 to get into Manhattan and meet Trish and the other two. He was looking at his cell phone lying on his desk, when it suddenly went off notifying him of a text message being received. It was from Trish,
"All went well c if u can get to the hotel a little early. It'll b worth it, I promise!"
Joe smiled to himself again. He was smiling a lot the last two days, and it was being noticed by his guys. He decided that he would leave right now. "Good to be the King!" he told himself. He locked his door and said his "cya's" to his staff and made his way down to his car. And in a few minutes he was driving across Brooklyn, through the streets, and onto the Manhattan Bridge. He made his way uptown and parked his car in the same garage he used the day before, grabbed his bag and walked up and then into the hotel. Trish fought the butterflies to a standstill, but still couldn't make herself eat anything of the lunch she had sent up to her room. She had found a connection with a man who, was not only older than her, but about as blunt, and yes, sometimes crude as anyone she'd ever met. And yet there was a gentleness and confidence about him that made her feel good to be around him. And safe too. She had experienced a lot in the short time they had yesterday. And she wanted more of the same. She had come back to the room from the presentation. They had done well. The customers liked what they saw and bought into the campaign completely. In reality, they could've gone home today, but that wasn't going to happen. She had already changed into shorts and a Yankee shirt she picked up from a street vendor. She was sure her friends and relatives back home would freak out with her wearing it, being the diehard Braves fans that they were. But she felt she had to wear it to the spanking new stadium. She heard the knock at the door and jumped to her feet and ran over to the door and looked into the peep hole. Her heart pumped a little harder when she saw it was him.
"Hiya Sweety! Miss me?" he asked. "Yes, but more importantly , did you miss me?"
He wrapped her up in his arms and kissed her gently. She grabbed his lower lip with her teeth and just held onto to it. When she let it go they kissed deeply and allowed each other's tongue to entangle and switch mouths. Trish felt her legs go weak and fell into him. With Trish pushing into him, they both leaned back until Joe's ass hit the wall behind him. His cock was stiffening against her lower body. Trish let out a soft moan and deepened her kiss. It had been a long time since Joe felt passion for anything. He could feel the passion awaken in him that hadn't been there for years. The deeper and longer the kiss lasted, the deeper her tongue went into his mouth, the more he could feel the heat of that passion rising along his neck cheeks and ears. He squeezed the breath out of her, so much so, that she had to pull away from him in order to catch it. She felt it too. He was quietly strong. Yes he talked a lot, but when you looked past his New York brashness, he was a confident and caring person. When Trish backed off, he looked at her again, hard. Her blonde hair was just long enough, but it was her quiet, green eyed strength that he was falling for. She was not the typical princess that he'd been used to. She was confident and intelligent. Their conversations were fun and smart. She had great incite and seemed to read him well. Yup, he thought, he was falling for her. Their lips met again and he kissed her with a purpose that was starting to surprise him. They fell on the bed and they made love to each other again. Only it was at a different level than the night before. She came over and over, as his tongue and fingers attacked her womanhood. He loved the connection they seemed to have made. He entered her slowly and gently, she was soaking wet. He moved his hips so that he almost came out of her and then thrust forward again. Trish wrapped her long legs around his waist and pulled him into her. He came hard. He tried to hold out, but couldn't. Trish could feel the power of his ejaculation surging deeply into her. She held onto him tightly. She was also falling hard. She never thought she would get a second chance at love. She still didn't know if she was anyway. But this had the makings of something really powerful and real. She held on so tight, that when he rolled off of her she rolled with him. They lay together on their sides facing each other. Smiling, and looking into each other's eyes. She touched his face and stared into his brown eyes. She touched his face tenderly and let her fingernails run through his mustache and beard.
He looked at his watch and told her they had about twenty minutes before the limo would be there. It would only be a short ride up to the stadium. She thought he might like to take a shower with her. He did. They went down to the lobby, where Trish introduced him to her co-workers Lee and Bobby. They seemed to be nice enough guys and the four of them climbed into the limo and pulled away from the hotel. He wasn't sure how to act with her team around, and it was all he could do not to put his arm around the back of her neck as they rode. It was Trish who put her hand on his, and then interlocked her fingers into his. This did not go unnoticed by both of the other men. But they made no comments other than to say how much they liked getting around the city yesterday.
The new stadium was indeed a jewel. Joe had mentioned that he wasn't sure he was going to like the place mostly because they spent a billion and a half dollars on it. This was his third incarnation of the famous ballpark. He'd seen it during the construction but he hadn't been up this way in over six months. The limo left the Major Deegan Expwy. And he could see the stadiums looming over the neighborhood. The old stadium was still standing intact, across the street from the new one. As they turned left onto River Ave., Joe's eyes widened at the beauty of the new one. He took the tickets out of his shirt pocket and handed one each to the men. They left the limo and Joe instructed the driver on where they would meet after the game. "After the game, ok? Not during the seventh inning. When the game is over!"
They entered the stadium at gate 6, and immediately became dwarfed by the huge rotunda that ran around the outside of the stadium. Joe changed his mind on the spot. He loved the new ballpark, before he even got to his seat. Trish hooked her arm into his and they walked to the escalator that took them up to the seats. "Have a good time at the hotel Joey?" "Forgetaboutit Sweets! By the time the game is over I'll be ready for a good nights' sleep. I just hope I can remember how to share a bed again." "By the time I'm done with you later, you won't have any trouble dozing off. " "Promises, Promises. Don't make them if you can't keep them." Joey said "That was not a promise big guy, that was fact!" Yeah, something was definitely going on here. Absofuckinglutely.
