Our family has been very close over the years and we often would have a reunion at least once a year. All the aunts, uncles, and cousins would be there. Let me say that I'm from the south but don't believe that old story about going to family reunions looking for a date!
My grandparents were very strict about behavior at their house and when we fought the punishment was to hug and kiss whomever the party was and it made no difference if the other party was a male or female. I'd rather have gotten a whipping or rather switched!
I have a very sweet and pretty second cousin named Sabrina (not the one in another story), and we have always been very close. We actually enjoy each other's company very much. When we get together at a family get together we would always sit or stand by each other. We would talk and laugh the whole time except at funerals, of course. I need to add that at these gatherings it seems like everyone has to hug the others.
Sabina and I were talking one day and she informed me that I was her "favorite". Now as she was growing up, I thought she was the prettiest realtive I knew. I told her that was my favorite also. She told me that when she was growing up that when she came over to our house to play with my younger sister that I was always so nice to her and would speak to her when noone else would. That's why she said that I was her "favorite".
We met one night for dinner and as we were eating we started talking about sex. She told me that when she got married she was a virgin and if she had known how good it felt before that then she propably would have been the "town slut"! I just laughed and told her that I'm glad she wasn't or I probably would have made an advance. She said that if I had, she would have loved to oblige me. After we finised dinner we walked out to our cars and gave each other a big hug and kiss on the cheek and proceeded to our own homes.
I was informed late last year that she had been sick and had gone to the doctor. The doctor examined her and found a tumor in her stomach area that was inoperable. They have her treatments but I heard that she's not responding well to those. I haven't been able to contact her lately and she's been on my mind now for almost 3 weeks so I'm really getting concerned about her health!!
Sabrina, I just want you to how much you mean to me.
