*****WARNING TO NEW AUTHORS*****
In less than one hour on Februrary 24, 2010, my stories were severely attacked with a long string of 1s. Clearly this was an attack by a team of fellow authors to remove me from my long-standing, uninterrupted position (five months) holding the #1 spot on the hottest author list. Please understand that if you post a great story, the lesser authors (and those severely concerned with their own ratings) will feel threatened and jealous, and there is a good chance you will be attacked, too.

May 28, 2010: I've stayed away for a few weeks, but folks have emailed me with info about the hottest list, how it jumps drastically from day to day. Obviously, the voting is still the number one concern around here...NOT the writing, not the community. The "3rd grade playground" attitude HAS to go. In the last 24 hours, I've received 22 votes. ALL of them 1s. CLEARLY another attack, and yet nothing gets done.

Good luck to everyone, but you won't be seeing me around again until I receive word that things have been changed, and that the owners of the site enforce the rules they CLAIM to have.
